THE STREETS AIN'T SAFE!!! JAY Z'S RIGHT HAND GOON EMORY JONES RELEASED FROM PRISON . . . AND JIGGA SENDS HIS MAYBACH TO PICK HIM UP FROM THE LOCKUP!!
January 20, 2010. trapzone.ning.com just learned that Jay Z's cousin Emory Jones was released from federal prison last week. Emory, who was mentioned in a number of Jigga's songs, was known to folks in the know as the "Street Dude" that put up the money to start Rocafella.
Well anyway, dude got let out, and upon release, Jigga sent over his personal MAYBACH to pick him up. A snitch tells trapzoneusa. that Jigga had a house and luxury car waiting for him too.
Now we're not sure whether dude is rehabilitated or not. But we here at MediaTakeOut.com are gonna play it safe. We are now instituting a NO-CAMEL policy, we'll be refraining from any camel jokes for the foreseeable future

It ain’t nothing wrong with trying “somthing new”. In other news, Eve has left Interscope records and plans to release a new album titled “Lip Lock” later this year.
__________________ New releases from Michael Buble, rockers Kiss, and country singer Toby Keith dominated during this week's Billboard 200, but Jay-Z and Mariah are still making their presence known within the top 10 while Fat Joe and Saigon fail to make major impacts.
Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 moved up one notch to no. 5 this week, selling 65,000 to help him reach the platinum mark, while Mariah Carey's latest Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel slipped four spots to no. 7 with 54,000 copies sold.
The last urban release within the top 20 is Whitney Houston's I Look To You, landing at no. 13 with 36,000 copies sold this week.
As far as new releases, there's Fat Joe's J.O.S.E. 2, and Saigon's indie release Warning Shots 2.
Joey Crack's J.O.S.E. 2 album opens at a disppointing no. 73, selling just 8,300 copies, while Saigon's release sells just 3,100 copies.
And that wraps things up this week.
According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Oct. 11) totaled 6.27 million units, down 9% compared to the sum last week (6.87 million) and down 2% compared to the same sales week of 2008 (6.41 million).

The homie Jayson Rodriguez broke the news.
It looks like Shyne’s homecoming is on hold for the moment.
The former Bad Boy rapper (born Jamal Barrow) was scheduled to be released from prison Tuesday (October 6) after serving more than nine years of a 10-year sentence in connection with the 2001 Club New York shooting involving Diddy and Jennifer Lopez.
But his release is now under review, as representatives for the rapper revealed to MTV News that the Brooklyn MC is being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at an unspecified facility in Western New York State. Officials are determining whether or not to deport the rapper, who was born in Belize, a rep explained.
“Shyne is currently in federal custody while his future immigration status is determined,” the rep said in a message to MTV News. Shyne attorney Oscar Michelen emphasized to MTV News on Tuesday afternoon that Shyne has not been released, contrary to media reports.
In August, a lawyer for Shyne said the rapper was “90 percent of the way home” after a judge ruled on his post-release supervision. The rapper received two and a half years of post-release supervision (probation, essentially) stemming from his conviction on first-degree assault and a host of other lesser charges. At the time of his sentencing, an official with the Department of Correction confirmed to MTV News that Shyne would have to complete at least eight years and seven months of his prison sentence.
For years, though, Shyne’s release date has been the subject of much confusion. Michelen acknowledged the subject had become urban legend, as the rumors started yearly that his client would be released. Michelen told MTV News in August that he believed a clerical error led to the incorrect assumptions.
“I think [the basis for the rumor] was created by a computer,” he explained, “because the Department of Corrections has a Web site where you can do an inmate lookup. And if you have the information, it will show you that [Shyne's] earlier release date was originally April [of this year] and then June. And we don’t now how that was in there. But it showed that. And then what would happen is before a release date, [an inmate] would get produced before a parole board, and in the institution, there would be rumors that [Shyne] was up for parole. I guess inmates or guards would spread the rumor.”
At press time, the status of Shyne’s release from prison remained unclear.

Jay-Z may be giving Bruh-man (”fif’ flo’”) a run for his money. The rapper, who, by the way, made $35 million this year, is married to one of the most beautiful women in the world, has had 11 out of 11 studio albums hit #1, and seems to overall lead a pretty good life, recently admitted to enjoying giving all his (probably less famous) neighbors a hard time…just because.
He told BBC radio, “My neighbors didn’t want me in the building. It was a whole big thing; it was really racist. They didn’t want me in so I bought the biggest place there. They have a board and voting is based on how much of the property share you have, so I have the biggest share and I go down just to vote on things I don’t care about just to tick ‘em off.”
He continued, “I guess they think I’m having parties and there’s shootings going on, but I have normal breakfasts and lunches. My friends come over - accountants and bankers - and I make them all wear black so the neighbors think they’re gangsters. It’s fun.”

BOSTON — Boston police said they had suspended an officer for a racist email likely to renew tensions over the recent arrest of black Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates.
"Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis placed Officer Justin Barrett, 36, on administrative leave pending the outcome of a termination hearing," a spokesman for the force told AFP in a statement.
"Commissioner Davis was made aware of a correspondence with racist remarks and yesterday removed the officer of his gun and badge."
The email describes Gates, who was arrested and briefly detained earlier this month at Harvard, near Boston, as a "banana-eating jungle monkey," according to a copy published by news site MyFoxBoston.com.
The city's mayor, Tom Menino, was quoted referring to Barrett as a "cancer in the department" and calling on him to be fired.
Gates became the center of a national debate on racism when he was charged with disorderly conduct after arguing with police sent to investigate a suspected burglary at his home near Harvard University.
President Barack Obama became embroiled in the uproar when he said police acted "stupidly." On Thursday, Obama is due to host both Gates and the arresting officer at the White House for what officials say will be a friendly beer.
But the email has reignited the controversy and dealt Boston's police a severe image blow just when they and the White House were hoping to calm tensions.
The email allegedly written by Barrett lambasts Gates for getting into an altercation with police.
"I am not a racist, but I am prejudice towards people who are stupid," reads the alleged diatribe -- containing frequent grammatical and spelling errors -- against Gates and local newspaper the Boston Globe.
"He has indeed transcended back to a bumbling jungle monkey."
After releasing a Michael Jackson tribute last week with Diddy and Usher called “Better On The Other Side” The Game has come forward to say he got a call from the King Of Pop during the height of his beef with 50 Cent. Game says that Jackson contacted him to be the mediator in his beef with the G-Unit general. “I was on tour in Canada, sitting in my room, cutting my hair,” Game said of the call. “I was messing my hair up. Then my road manager knocks on my door. Boom, boom, boom. He told me, I gotMJ on the phone. I ran and snatched up the phone.” “He got to this one thing that makes me laugh, man,” Game said of the convo . “He said, ‘I don’t know how you’re gonna feel about this, but I want to ask you something. I don’t want you to judge me, but I don’t really know everything that’s going on between you and 50. But I want to be the middle man behind you putting this situation to bed.’”
Minister in Jamaica crime gaffe
By Nick Davis
BBC News, Kingston
Parts of Jamaica are plagued by gang-related violence
Jamaica's security minister has been forced to withdraw a remark that people killed by police can be considered collateral damage in crime-fighting.
Dwight Nelson was speaking to the island's police federation when he said the country was at war with criminals.
He also pledged to get a top team of lawyers to defend police officers accused of shootings.
Human rights groups say the island has one of the worst records in the world for police shootings.
Ask most Jamaicans what their number one concern is and they will say security and crime.
Last year more than 1,600 people were killed on the island. Of these, 222 were allegedly shot by the police.
Only one conviction
It is not uncommon in Jamaica for officers to come under fire, but it has been claimed that many abuse their positions when using their own firearms.
In an address to the Police Federation, newly appointed Minister of National Security Dwight Nelson said that Jamaica's security forces were involved in a war - and that in any war there would be collateral damage.
Mr Nelson was forced to apologise for these comments after criticism from human rights groups.
He issued a statement saying it was not his intention to imply the government would back unlawful acts, but it would support officers who used deadly force against criminals.
But Carolyn Gomes, who runs the human rights group Jamaicans for Justice, says there are too many unlawful killings by the police.
"It's unbelievable, in the past 10 years the police have killed more than 2,000 Jamaicans and only once one policeman was convicted for manslaughter," she said. "Only about 20 have been charged in that time."
Only a few days ago Amnesty International criticised Jamaica's security forces over the number of alleged killings by the police, despite noting a decrease last year. The government says it is planning to set up an independent commission to investigate.

THE BLUEPRINT III Coming Soon!
Irv Gotti says he and Ashanti, the Princess of the Inc., will soon be parting company. He said they haven't been on speaking terms for some time, and the label head/reality-TV star says there's nothing he can do but end their musical and business affiliation.
"The relationship has run its course," Gotti explained earlier this week while visiting the MTV offices. "The chemistry of what's needed — we're in two totally different places. You're talking to somebody that took her and shaped and molded her and put her out there for the world, and it blew up. We [hold the record] for the [fastest] selling debut by a female R&B artist — 503 [thousand]. We did it! My views and philosophies and her views and philosophies are not meeting up."
Ashanti's last LP, The Declaration — her first in four years — came out in June of last year on the Inc. and was created with virtually no input from Gotti. The album was her first in-studio project not to go platinum. Gotti says it's because the singer deviated from their winning formula and tag-team effort.
"I personally believe for her to be successful, it took the energy ... when you seen her, it was 30 n---as around her, and she's the princess so nice and pretty walking through," he said. "The music was great, but it was the energy that was created. It wasn't just her standing there and singing a song.
"We don't really speak or talk or anything like that," he continued. "It's sad in a way. But in another, it's like it's all good."
Well, maybe not that good. Gotti said it is best for them to part ways.
"I don't think she can win. She needs some guidance with that," Gotti added. "But she's not thinking like that. Really, I couldn't tell you what she's thinking. So that relationship has run its course and honestly, I'm gonna just drop her."
At press time, a rep for Ashanti had not granted MTV News' requests for comment.
Gotti told MTV News that he's maintained the rights to all of his artists, including Ashanti, Lloyd and of course Ja Rule. The exec says he's working on a deal to reunite with his fellow Def Jam alumni Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles and Julie Greenwald over at the Warner Music Group. He says new albums by Lloyd, new rapper Newz and Rule are in the cooker. He explains the delay of Rule's The Mirror is because they are trying to craft a classic LP.

Young Jeezy, T-Pain, Mary J. Blige Lead Hot 97 Summer Jam LineupJim Jones, Jadakiss, The-Dream and more are also set to rock Giants Stadium on June 7.
New York radio station Hot 97 released a lineup of hip-hop, R&B and reggae artists on Wednesday (April 22), revealing a hefty chunk of its Summer Jam roster.
Mary J. Blige is leading the charge, with fellow crooners T-Pain, The-Dream and former Pretty Ricky lead singer Pleasure P also tapped to perform. Elephant Man, Mavado and Serani will be representing the reggae contingent, while the hip-hop acts include three of NYC's favorite sons: Diplomats Jim Jones and Juelz Santana, as well as one-third of the LOX, Jadakiss. Summer Jam vet and Atlanta general Young Jeezy is also on the bill, while "30 Rock" star and former "Saturday Night Live" castmember Tracy Morgan will host.
As always, the radio station is promising an unadvertised surprise guest.
Past showstoppers included Jay-Z bringing out Michael Jackson; Alicia Keys parading out a host of hip-hop legends, including Public Enemy; and Rick Ross showing up without his shirt to tear things down. Last year, Kanye West made headlines by joining Lil Wayne onstage for the remix of "Lollipop" — and admitting that Weezy had the best set of the night (that had to be a first!).
Heralded in the urban community as one of the biggest concerts of the year, Summer Jam is set for June 7 at its home of the past several years, Giants Stadium. Hot 97 has teased that more performers will be added to the bill in the days leading to the concert.
Hip Hop Album Sales: The Week Ending 4/26/2009

Hip Hop owns the charts again, as Rick Ross [click to read] third official album, Deeper Than Rap [click to read], cleared over 150,000 copies, taking the Miami Def Jam star straight to the top he rhymes about. The release out-sold Hannah Montana's soundtrack by over 50,000, as the Pop princess enjoyed her third week on the charts. Perhaps unfounded, the media's question of who would sell more, the Miami veteran, or Philadelphia suburban rookie Asher Roth [click to read], was answered with a margin of over 90,000.
Roth impressed the charts with a Top 5 debut, as the SRC/Universal album Asleep At The Bread Aisle [click to read] sold over 61,000, with a first day of release iTunes-topping day, and claims that his label under-shipped the hardcopy release to stores.
Bad Boy Records' Day 26 [click to read] was three slots behind, with Forever In A Day, joining Gorilla Zoe on the charts. L.O.X./D-Block member Jadakiss [click to read] fell four spots in the third week of his The Last Kiss [click to read]. Keri Hilson's In A Perfect World... [click to read] remained in the Top 15 for a fifth week, maintaining her status as Interscope's present R&B flagship artist, with considerable radio and video play.
